What the manufacturer reference says
Braun’s US replacement-head page describes 94M for Series 9 and 83M for Series 8. It also separates legacy Series 7 parts from other Series 7 parts. These distinctions show why “Braun shaver head” is too broad a buying query. Our source is a US manufacturer reference; it is not evidence of UK stock, UK packaging or the exact parts route for every regional model.
Why we do not provide a universal Braun matcher
A family-level statement cannot resolve every generation, bundle or current replacement option. Manufacturer sales pages can also change as new cassettes appear. We do not turn those pages into a complete fit matrix, and the part finder intentionally returns a verification step for Braun codes. It is more useful to expose an uncertain match than to send you to checkout with a confident guess.
Collect three identifiers
Write down the full shaver model, its type number where printed, and the existing cassette code if readable. Record the country where the handle was sold. Then use Braun’s official support channel or model manual to confirm the current replacement code. The old cassette is a useful clue, but if you bought the handle second-hand it may itself be the wrong part.
Separate replacement, upgrade and care accessory
A shaving cassette, a pre-shave accessory and a cleaning-station refill are different products. A listing containing “Series 9” does not make them substitutes. Check the pack contents and purpose before comparing prices. We have not established any performance gain from replacing a working cassette with a differently named premium part, so no upgrade recommendation is made here.
Check seller and return conditions
Prefer a clear manufacturer or identifiable retailer listing with an exact part code. A lower price on an ambiguous “compatible with” item does not establish genuine Braun manufacture. Read who sells and fulfils the item, what comes in the box and how unopened returns work. We cannot authenticate a cassette from a listing image alone.
When to replace rather than troubleshoot
Follow the model manual’s maintenance instructions and inspect for damage. Do not keep using a visibly damaged foil or force an uncertain cassette into place. If cleaning and correct assembly do not resolve poor performance, ask support whether the symptoms warrant a replacement. We have not tested these heads and do not claim measured longevity, comfort or cutting improvement.
